Exiled from Elysium
04:17
|

When sincerity thought to be null
And the oath unbroken still
In the most somber shadows of night
I will reveal the most blinding of light
This sudden dichotomy of crippling souls
Casting all warmth of the sun into the cold
Swept into the winter winds, bound by invocation
Never to return again, exiled from Elysium
If this river carries-any memory at all
I will drift along-it's absent waves
To crash against the stone as words, unspoken verse
A sound once most serene - the siren used to sing
Tragedy sang lore of woven gods, in an era of skyward chains
With the cold that wields thus morning, in the shadow of odium flames
Yield to those who tread with malevolent storms
March forth, wild heart - to reclaim spirits scorned
This sudden dichotomy of crippling souls
Casting all warmth of the sun into the cold
The throne defiled, broken frail marks
Casting a light into ever-endless dark
Damned me, depraved the warmth of home
Encased the astral gown
In silence we rejoice
Through vagrant woods reborn
This broken earth beneath me, yearning incomplete
Tomorrow rests behind the mountainside
If this river carries-any memory at all
I will drift along it's absent waves
To crash against the stone as words, unspoken verse
A sound once most serene - the siren used to sing

Locked Cabin Doors
04:14

Air is still, and fog adorns this wretched night
It fled through the trees, with intentions unknown
Precursor, peril along these winding roads
We are not welcome, it's walls are damned and cold
Dug deep for you
Beneath the soil
To be exhumed
I know someone's out there, I heard you in the cellar
A glare in red and white, What happened to her eyes?
The chant that summons hell, and the ominous foretold
From below, to be bound in chains
Evil finds it's way inside
Locked Behind Cabin Doors
Dismembered limbs, a severed head
It was the woods themselves, they're alive

A Wanderer's Dream
04:49
|

Hidden behind this resonant shade,
A will once tempered by the storms of plague
Seasons of silence, a muting of hope not endured
Defying the violent design
Do you dread the turning of the tide?
Reluctant, forced to choose a side
Can you trust the guiding of the hand?
Granting sight to the blind
We weep with the withering woods
It's flesh and barren bone
This brilliant glow, alone, still flickers yet i hold
A gentle brush of splendor to paint this fading world
Basking in clouds with a taste for the horizon
Enthralled by all that is bound
Beneath the ash once laid a wanderer's dream
The forest of moons that held the sky, now only speaks in sighs
Awaken, helpless sibling sun - the burning wheel above
Sol witness to all things undone
We weep with the withering woods
It's flesh and barren bone
Born bound to this broken home

As we embrace the final dawn
The rain upon our face, tells of sullen times
Wash away the tears, ring the death knell
Enamored by it's chime
I've seen it inside their eyes
It was carried in their mother's arms
To nurture a fire soon to burn - on and on
The virulence before the storm, there are secrets to be born
Can you feel their heavy hearts?
Like anchors of sinking ships
As we embrace the final dawn
The rain upon our face, tells of sullen times
Wash away the tears, ring the death knell
Enamored by it's chime
I've seen it inside their eyes
It was carried in their mother's arms
To nurture a fire soon to burn - on and on
This bounding main - A silence left to comfort
These wind-capped waves - Torn seafaring hearts
Until we reach the shore, can you hold this close to yours?
This burden, the dark
Under the weight of the world
We've come this far
Guided by vagrant stars
When all warmth fades, cold the garden of night
By lantern's shine, we brave this search of light
Until we reach the shore, can you hold this close to yours?
This burden, the dark
Under the weight of the world
The bridge, the flame that follows me until the end
Haunted, our path, they'll know our name at last
Until we reach the shore, can you hold this close to yours?
This burden, the dark
Under the weight of the world

Vagrant Hearts
04:56
|
|
||
Never waking from this dream like fever
Torn from the heavens with such radiant eyes
We call upon the moon, the endless tide
(Prayers for the void into the gray
Mourning the monochrome earth, we've made)
The bloom of promise, the thorns that shroud
Soil in my hands, gripping the ground
Beyond the shade, the shade that shuts the eyes
Splendor's an illusion, burning the mind
Parading in your shell, fragile nest of lies
The masquerade of who you are, and what you're not
What you're not inside
A breath before the words of loss, and with venomous pride
Resonant the tragedy, of grieving echoes deprived
(And when the cold winds called, they beheld your name
We ignite the sky as once vagrant flames)
If the earth is an open wound mother let me grieve
Salt of my blood, shared with the sea
The bloom of promise, the thorns that shroud
Soil in my hands, gripping the ground
Beyond the shade, the shade that shuts the eyes
Splendor's an illusion, burning the mind
