When sincerity thought to be null
And the oath unbroken still
In the most somber shadows of night
I will reveal the most blinding of light
This sudden dichotomy of crippling souls
Casting all warmth of the sun into the cold
Swept into the winter winds, bound by invocation
Never to return again, exiled from Elysium
If this river carries-any memory at all
I will drift along-it's absent waves
To crash against the stone as words, unspoken verse
A sound once most serene - the siren used to sing
Tragedy sang lore of woven gods, in an era of skyward chains
With the cold that wields thus morning, in the shadow of odium flames
Yield to those who tread with malevolent storms
March forth, wild heart - to reclaim spirits scorned
This sudden dichotomy of crippling souls
Casting all warmth of the sun into the cold
The throne defiled, broken frail marks
Casting a light into ever-endless dark
Damned me, depraved the warmth of home
Encased the astral gown
In silence we rejoice
Through vagrant woods reborn
This broken earth beneath me, yearning incomplete
Tomorrow rests behind the mountainside
If this river carries-any memory at all
I will drift along it's absent waves
To crash against the stone as words, unspoken verse
A sound once most serene - the siren used to sing

The "Cult..." is UADA's sophomore album, and among all, the one I largely prefer. The Vocal performance, to start with, is truly outstanding, and while I really liked their debut album, this one is more varied, and overall is technically superior to anything else I've heard from UADA. Fast, aggressive, but with enchanting melodies to break in between, à la Dissection. Highly recommended! sachavonkarl74
These California up-and-comers don't merely pay tribute to ’90s death metal; they make it their own by taking charge and letting it rip. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 21, 2024
